LOUIS HARE

Louis Russell Hare Jr., 75, died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Louis Russell Hare and Myrtle Holt Hare and was married to the late Sylvia V. Hare.

Mr. Hare was a 1948 graduate of Rosewood High School and had received the Governors Award of Excellence while working with the Smithfield Waste Treatment Plant. He had worked many years with J.P. Taylor Tobacco Company. Mr. Hare was a man that enjoyed life and who worked well with others with whatever had to be done.

A funeral service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Jimmy Whitfield officiating. Burial will be Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

He is survived by his daughters, Lydia Mills of Princeton, Regina Overbee of Goldsboro, Marlene Martin of Goldsboro and Cindy Miller of Princeton; his sister, Marlene H. Edwards of Goldsboro; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Meryl McFatter of Goldsboro.

Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made to the First Pentecostal Holiness Church Building Fund, 1101 The First Church Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 until 3 p.m. in the vestibule of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home.
