JOHNNY SAULS

SNOW HILL -- Johnny R. Sauls of 356 Burrellfield Road, died Saturday, at Pitt Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, he was born Oct. 22, 1947, to the late Nathan and Nancy Perry Sauls. He had worked for more than 30 years in retail grocery in Wayne and Greene counties. Mr. Sauls was a member of Harrell's Chapel FWB Church.

A funeral service will be held today at 7 p.m. at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service, with the Rev. Chuck Owens officiating. Committal services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Harrell's Chapel Church Cemetery.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Garner.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Connie Radford Sauls; two children, Sharon Sauls Colyer and husband, Tim, of Dudley and Johnny Sauls Jr. of Goldsboro; three step-children, Tony Riley and wife, Dawn, of Chocowinity, Telene Chapdelaine and husband, Mike, of Snow Hill and Ritchie Riley of Snow Hill; two sisters, Jean Hare of Lindell and Ruth Turnage of Goldsboro; two brothers, Titus Sauls of Arkansas and Melvin Sauls of Goldsboro; six grandchildren, Timothy Colyer Jr., Arron Colyer, Amber Eastwood, Brian Chapdelaine, Walt Riley and Conner Riley.

The family will receive friends today following the service and other times at the residence.
