MILDRED KORNEGAY

Mildred Corbett Kornegay, 84, died Saturday.

A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late James and Alice Crocker Corbett, and the widow of Nelson Kornegay. She was a member of Black Jack Free Will Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held Sunday evening at 7 at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Internment will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.

She is survived by four sons, Earl Kornegay and wife, Lois of Warsaw, Marvin Kornegay of Mount Olive, Albert Kornegay of Dudley, and George Kornegay of Goldsboro; two sisters, Edna Wadsworth of Selma and Catherine Creech of Smithfield; numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence of Earl and Lois Kornegay, 510 N. Gum St., Warsaw.
