MURPHY SINGLETARY
ROSE HILL -- The funeral for Murphy Stanley Singletary, 82, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Rose Hill United Methodist Church.The Rev. Jan Hill will officiate. Burial will be in Fussell Cemetery.
Mr. Singletary died Wednesday at Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville.
He was the son of the late Stanley and Blanch Britt Singletary of Bladen County and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Fussell Singletary of the home; one son, John Fussell Singletary of Rose Hill; one brother, Manly Davis Jr. of Wilmington; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends this evening at the residence, 304 E. Ridge St., Rose HIll.
Community Funeral Home of Rose Hill is serving the family.
