MARY THOMPSON

PRINCETON -- Mary Rose Thompson, 93, died Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

She was born on March 7, 1911, in Johnston County to the late Charles Gurney and Susan Lawhon Rose. She was the widow of William Alton Thompson and was a member of the Tee's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Dorothy T. Wellons, and husband, William I., of Princeton; brother, James Howard Rose of Roxboro; sister, Ozelle Rose of Selma; grandchildren, Bryant and Kim Wellons, Chloe Wellons and Mark and Mary Wellons; and great-grandchildren, Megan Wellons, Mandy Wellons and Daniel Wellons.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton. The Rev. Dennis Pollock and Elder Harold Pittman will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday in the Tee's Chapel Church Cemetery.

Flowers are acceptable or memorials contributions may be made to the building fund of Tee's Chapel F.W.B. Church, 6434 Brogden Road, Smithfield, N.C., 27577.
