GENE WELLS
DUDLEY -- Percy Eugene "Gene" Wells, 54, of 221 Williamson Farm Road, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Rev. Wayne Goff will be officiate. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Wells was born in Wayne County to Roscoe and Peggy Hyatt Jr. of Dudley. He attended Belfast Pentecostal Holiness Church.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ricky Steve Wells and Danny Lynn Wells.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by four sisters and a brother-in-law, Delia Rebecca "Becky" and Durwood Smith of Goldsboro, Natalie Ruth Worthington of Clayton, Joyce Irene Taylor of Bonnean, S.C., and Paula Ann Shatz of North Dakota; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service tonight, and at the home at other times.
