DOROTHY R. DANIELS

SNOW HILL -- Dorothy Rouse Daniels, 76, died Tuesday at Pitt Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service. The Rev. Elbert Reeves will officiate. The committal service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Snow Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Daniels was a native of Greene County and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma Taylor Rouse. She was a retired employee of Collins & Aikman in Farmville, where she was a supervisor and instructor, and was a member of the New Hope Road Church of God.

She is survived by her husband, Walter "Boot" Daniels; two daughters, Debbie S. Aldridge of Snow Hill and Sue S. Walston and her husband, Billy, of Farmville; two sons, Danny Smith and wife, Linda, and Mike Smith and wife, Virginia, all of Snow Hill; three sisters, Mary Howell and Ruby Vernon of Goldsboro and Vernell Kearney of Snow Hill; and eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Aileen Yelverton; a grandson, William Kearney; and a great-grandson, Christian Kearney.

The family will receive at the funeral home following the service on Thursday, and other times at the residence, 4027 Hwy. 13 South, Snow Hill.
