GENE HINSON
LAGRANGE -- Gene Morris Hinson, 62, of 841 South Beston Road, died Friday at his home.
Born in Wayne County, he was a retired painter and an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Raymond and Hazel Best Hinson, and is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kathleen Rouse Hinson; two daughters, Kimberly Greene Fordham, and her husband, Jimmy, of Kinston and Kathy Hinson Daniels, and her husband, Willie, of Snow Hill; two grandchildren, Misty Sunshine Wiggins of LaGrange and Zachary Daniels of Snow Hill; one great-grandson, Mason Wiggins of LaGrange; three brothers, Phil Hinson of LaGrange, Donnie Hinson of Goldsboro and Randy Hinson of LaGrange; and a special aunt, Sadie Moye of LaGrange.
The funeral was Sunday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wayne Brown officiating. Interment was today at 11 a.m. at the Melvin Rouse Family Cemetery in Seven Springs.
The family received friends at the funeral home following the funeral on Sunday.
