DAVID WILLIS
David Lucian Willis, 39, of 762 Share Cake Road, died Monday at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Mary's Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. David Willis and Rev. John Willis officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park.
Born in 1965 in Sampson County, Mr. Willis was the son of the Rev. David Alton and Catherine Pearson Willis. He was a member of Mary's Chapel Baptist Church, where he served as director of the Sunday school department and taught a Sunday school class. He was employed as a computer-aided design machine operator at Gray Metal South in Dunn.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra C. Willis; two daughters, Robyn M. Womble of Chapel Hill and Erin E. Womble of the home; two sons, Eston L. Willis of the U.S. Navy, Hawaii, and Lloyd A. Willis of Baldwin, Ga.; parents, David and Cathy Willis of Clinton; and paternal grandmother, Florence Elizabeth Willis of Clinton.
The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7 until 9 at Royal-Hall Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
