LEROY GREEN JR.

Mr. Leroy (Toot) Green Jr., 35, formerly of Goldsboro, died Tuesday in Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.

He was raised in Wayne County, attended public schools, and graduated from Goldsboro High School. He later moved to Washington, D.C., where he worked and attended college. He was employed at the Marriott Corporation as a law clerk until his health declined.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Elm Grove Church of Christ in Pikeville. Elder Kenneth Vaughn will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Coley Cemetery.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Prince and Mary Parson of Goldsboro, N.C.; two children, Alexis and Antonio Green of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Elder Kenneth (Edna) Vaughn of Goldsboro and Kenneth M. Parson of Fort Washington, Md. He also leaves a very special friend, Marta Coreas of Washington, D.C.; three aunts, Rose Lofton, Patricia (Billy) Mickens of Washington, D.C., and Virginia Lewis of Goldsboro, N.C.; six uncles, Ivey (Lucetta) Vaughn, Henry (Phyllis) Vaughn and Norman Battle, all of Goldsboro, N.C., Nathaniel (Rena) Vaughn of Fremont, N.C., Willlie Vaughn of Ft. Washington, Md., and Linwood Vaughn of Washington, D.C.; two nieces; two nephews; and a host of special relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held today (Friday) from 3 until 11 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends at the home of his parents, 1005 South Claiborne St., Goldsboro.
