ANNA POWELL
Mrs. Anna Gregory Powell, 67, of 200 Hereford Drive, joined her Lord and Savior on November 2, 2004.
She was a life-long member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton Grove.
Anna was preceded in death by twin daughters, Barbara Ann and Jo Anne Powell; her parents, Peter and Maude Gregory; brothers, Oliver Gregory, Father Harold Gregory, Richard Gregory, Jack Gregory and Patrick Gregory. Also a sister, Genevieve Montgomery.
She is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Luby Powell; her son, Ronnie Powell of Dudley; daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Eddie Garcia of Rosewood; Amanda and Ricky Ellis of Snow Hill; five granddaughters, Amy and Michelle Garcia of Rosewood; Ashley, Jessica and Kimberly Ellis of Snow Hill; two brothers, Lawrence and Hubert Gregory of Newton Grove; five sisters, Mary Adams, Helen Williams, Kay Williams and Maude "Tootsie" Denning, all of Newton Grove, and Joan Thornton of Four Oaks; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 5, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton Grove, with burial in the church cemetery. Father Ned Schlesinger will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, November 4, from 7 until 9 p.m., with a rosary service at 6:30 p.m.
Flowers are welcome but donations may be made to the building fund of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, P.O. Box 100, Newton Grove, N.C., 28366.
