CHARLES ADAMS
RICHMOND, Ky. -- Charles "Red" Adams, 80, of Curtis Pike, died suddenly Friday at his home.
A native of Madison County, he was born March 26, 1924 to the late John Will and Katherine Pigg Adams. He was a tobacco and cattle farmer in Madison County. He graduated from Madison High School, and was a member of Kirksville Christian Church.
Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Park Adams; two daughters, Betty Adams (Cliff) Worthington of Goldsboro, Lura Adams Neukam (Roy) Locher of Philpot, Ky.; one son, Charles Thomas Adams Jr. of Richmond, Ky.; one brother, William E. Adams; two granddaughters, Kara Worthington of Atlanta, Ga., Valerie Worthington of Richmond, Va.; and one grandson, Joshua Neukam of Philpot, Ky.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by one brother, Edgar L. Adams.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Oldham, Roberts, & Powell Funeral Home. Dr. J. Donald Graham will officiate. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Pallbeareres are Alan Bundy, David Pigg, William L. Long, William D. Adams, Gordon Adams, Winifred Starnes, Carl Turner, and Jud Patterson. Honorary bearers are Cecil Tussey, Bill Hagan, and Stanley Wylie.
A visitation will be held today from 4 until 7 p.m. at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.
