GAIL GADDY DAIL

Gail Gaddy Dail of 104 Holly Point Road died Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dr. Billy Seate and the Rev. Lindsey Green will officiate. A private inurnment will be in the church columbarium.

Mrs. Dail was born Jan. 4, 1949 in Salisbury to the late Judge William Gaddy of Marshville, N.C., and Cornelia Satterfield Gaddy, who resides at the Carolina House in Smithfield. She moved to Goldsboro at the age of 6 months and grew up on the grounds of Cherry Hospital where her father served as business manager.

She was a graduate of Meredith College, and a beloved teacher at Wayne Country Day School for 16 years. Miss. Dail was also a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the Emmaus community.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Robert Henry Dail; one daughter, Alison Rouse Pleasants and husband, Chris of Holly Springs; one son, Ray Norman Rouse IV of Morrisville; one grandchild, Elizabeth Chase Pleasants of Holly Springs; three stepsons, Charles Robert Dail and wife, Julie of Thomasville, William Buck Dail and James Spencer Dail of Asheville.

The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6 until 8, and Tuesday at the residence after the memorial service.

Honorary pallbearers are H. David Allen, Paul L. Nunn, John H. Hawley, Ray N. Rouse III, George W. Thompson and Robert D. Walker Jr.
