JESSE MARTIN
Jesse Daniel Martin, 80, of 3734 Salem Church Road, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service was to be held today at 3 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive with Paul Price officiating.
Mr. Martin was born in Wayne County on December 18, 1923, to the late Jesse James Martin and Julia Millard Martin.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Thornton Martin; two sons, Jack Harold Martin and wife, Stormy, of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Douglas James Martin of Pikeville; one daughter, Marie M. Coker and husband, Daryl, of Goldsboro; one brother, Milford Allen Martin of Angier; one sister, Margaret Galespie of Delaware; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Donald Gene Martin, and one daughter, Ann M. Stevens.
