MOUNT OLIVE -- Lesley Rue Royal, 54, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.
The funeral will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Bass Funeral Home. The Rev. Floyd Best will officiate. Burial will be in Winn Cemetery.
Mr. Royal is survived by his wife, Rita Royal of Salisbury; two daughters, Tiffany Peele of Mount Olive and Nekeitha Birt of Dudley; five sisters, Ernestine Whitfield, Norma Coleman and Judy F. West of Mount Olive, Ada Pigford of Goldsboro and Edna Outlaw of Florida; eight brothers, Earl Royal of Hawaii, Fletcher Royal of Wilmington, Thomas Royal of Kansas, DeRoy Royal of Ayden, Michael Royal of Savannah, Ga., Charlie Royal of Colorado Springs, Co., and Donald Royal and Linwood Royal of Mount Olive; and seven grandchildren.
The viewing hours will be from 1 until 7 today at Bass Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at Ernestine Whitfield's residence at 106 E. Williams St., Mount Olive.
