EMILIA HUDGINS

Emilia Kucharik "Mil" Hudgins, 86, of 1018 S. Taylor St., died Tuesday at the Brian Center.

Born in Garfield, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Rev. Joseph and Ludmila Stepita Kucharik and mother of the late Timothy Ray Hudgins. She was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Olga K. Rajcok, another sister, Judy K. Tuhy, brothers, Rev. Joseph D. Kucharik Jr., Rev. John J. Kucharik and Milan J. Cook. A long-time member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, she was a member of the Adult Choir and former head of the Altar Guild. She was retired from the Corps of Engineers in Atlanta, Ga., and General Motors Corporation.

She is survived by her husband, O. D. "Jack" Hudgins; and a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel C. and Betsy Hudgins of Goldsboro.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. William E. Ordelt Jr. will officiate. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service on Thursday night, and at the residence at other times.
