LAGRANGE -- Mark Montague Thompson, 41, of 210 Ellington Way, died Saturday.

The funeral was to be held by the graveside today at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Tony McLamb officiating.

Mr. Thompson was a native of Wayne County and was employed with APV Baker of Goldsboro. He was the son of George W. Thompson III of Goldsboro and the late Myra Montague Thompson.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Wanda Graham Thompson, and their children, Meghan Thompson and Sawyer Thompson; one sister, Lisa Thompson Underwood and her husband, Sam, of Pawley's Island, S.C.; his stepmother, Kaye Thompson of Goldsboro; his father-in-law, Eldred Graham of Goldsboro; one stepsister, Jennifer McGowan Cunningham, and her husband, John, of Goldsboro; two nephews, Zachary Underwood and Campbell Cunningham; a niece, Anna Underwood; and a special friend, Bobby Adams.

The family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
