JAMES OVERMAN
PRINCETON -- James Robert Overman, 73, died Sunday at this home.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton. The Rev. Dennis Pollock and the Rev. Ferrell Hardison will officiate. Burial will be in Rains Crossroads Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Overman was a native of Johnston County and was the son of the late Jessie T. and Tempie Mitchell Overman. Prior to retirement, he worked at Johnston County Courthouse as an electrician with the maintenance department.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Willoughby Overman; daughters, Corlis Overman Bailey and Robin Overman Stokes of Princeton; one brother, Jimmy Overman of Jacksonville; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton.
