JOSEPH L. BROWN
Joseph Lawrence Brown, 66, of 982 N.C. 581 South, died Wednesday at his home.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Brown was a native of Duplin County and was the son of the late Bernice "Buck" Andrew Brown and the late Earle Harrell Brown Montague. A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a recognized expert in the steel fabrication and steel erection industry and was employed by The Design Build Alliance of Raleigh.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Dawson Brown, and two sons, Steve Brown and wife, Ashley, of Raleigh and Ben Brown of Raleigh.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home following the memorial service on Saturday, and throughout the day at the residence.
