LOIS STROUD

Lois Elizabeth Stroud, 78, died Monday at Britthaven Nursing Home.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Stewart and the Rev. Bob Bame officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Willow Dale Cemetery.

Miss Stroud was a native of Wayne County and was the daughter of the late Cristopher C. Stroud and Mollie Wallace Stroud. She was a retired telephone operator with Southern Bell Telephone Company and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and Westwood United Methodist Church.

Her survivors include two sisters, Irene Worrell and husband, Harold, of Goldsboro and Blanche Pollock of Goldsboro; a special nephew, Ray Pollock; a special niece, Molly Ann Birth; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Stroud, and two sisters, Estelle S. Strickland and Emily S. Capps.

The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home following the service on Wednesday night.
