RANDOLPH JONES

FAISON -- Randolph Otto Jones, 79, of 1254 Warren Road, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, at his residence.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home in Clinton. The Rev. Clayton Sutton will officiate. Interment will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Devotional Gardens in Warsaw.

Mr. Jones was a native of Duplin County and was the son of the late Randolph D. Jones and Pearl Lane Jones. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was self-employed in the meat-packing industry. He was a member of Bowden Community Presbyterian Church and was a volunteer fireman with the Town of Faison.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Gore Jones of the home; a daughter, Joan Randall Jones of Mount Olive; a son, Bryan Jones of Faison; three stepchildren, David Michael Stancil of Magnolia, Angela Stancil Sanderson of Clinton and Lisa Stancil Zang of Burlington; two grandchildren, Erica Mele of Wilmington and Haley Jones of Faison.

A stepdaughter, Marilyn Stancil Spell, preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home following the service on Tuesday night, and other times at the residence.

Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Bowden Community Presbyterian Church, 1254 Warren Road, Faison, N.C., 28341; or to Community Homecare and Hospice, 216 Beamon St., Clinton, N.C., 28328.
