VIRGINIA W. GREENE
Virginia White Greene, 69, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Rev. John Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Greene was born in Halifax County to the late John W. & Naomi Warren White. She was a member of Rehobath Methodist Church in Shelby and as employed at P.P.G. Industries in the Fiberglass Division as a Lab Technician in Quality Control.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John J. White and James Donald White.
She is survived by one sister, Caroline Pate of Goldsboro; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family. She also had many special friends in the Shelby-Polkville area.
The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service at Wayne Memorial Park, and at other times at the home of Caroline Pate, 308 Mimosa Park Drive, Goldsboro.
Flowers are welcome, and the family requests that memorial contributions be made to 3HC, Home Health & Hospice, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
