CLARENCE O. SANDLIN

KINSTON -- Clarence Odell Sandlin, 79, of 1549 Eastwood Drive, died Tuesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howard-Carter Funeral Home with the Rev. Marion Humphrey officiating. Burial will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Sandlin is survived by his wife, Jennie Mae Sandlin of the home; one daughter, Nancy Louise Stroud of LaGrange; one son, Norman Odell Sandlin of Kinston; six sisters, Georgia Hudler, Carol Henderson, Linda Johnson, Beverly Deaver, Deborah Bass and Tammy Lane; two brothers, William Sandlin and Gary Sandlin.; his stepmother, Julia Shepard; and one grandson.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Ellen Knowles Sandlin.

The family will receive friends Friday night from 7 until 9 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Nancy Louise Stroud, 2923 Fred Everett Road, LaGrange.
