WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Betty Lois Wooten Alston died Saturday at her home.
The funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Washington.
She is survived by three sons, Roger Alston and Marvin Alston of Washington and Ricky Alston of Dennis, Mass.; two daughters, April Aires and JoAnnn Alston of Washington; one brother, Clarence Wooten of Suitland, Md.; and five sisters, Jane Broadhurst, Judy Wooten and Mary Lee Rowe of Goldsboro, Celestine Melvin of Virginia Beach, Va., and Beatrice Applewhite of Brooklyn, N.Y.
