FRANK ERVIN PATE

Frank Ervin "Peanut" Pate, 81, of 3031 U.S. 117 North, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of Wayne County and the son of the late Bryant Frank and Flora Seymour Pate; and the widower of Eunice Thomas Pate.

Mr. Pate was retired from Wayne Wholesale Grocery, and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

Graveside services will be held Monday 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Neal Wingfield officiating.

Survivors include two daughters, Susan P. Cox and husband Jack, and Jean P. Stephenson, both of Morehead City; one son, William F. "Bill" Pate and wife Merchele of Hillsborough; one brother, Cedric Pate of Columbus, Ga.; six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his residence.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Salem United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2706 Salem Church Road, Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.
