P. LEO JOYNER

MOUNT OLIVE -- P. Leo "Buddy" Joyner, 76, of the Dobbersville community, died Saturday morning in Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home with Dr. Lily Chou officiating. The family will receive friends at the conclusion of the service. Committal and interment will be on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Joyner was born and lived his entire life in Wayne County. He was a retired farmer, and a long-time member of Brownings United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, JaNae Joyner of Winston-Salem, and her mother, Lynn H. Joyner-Leight of Mount Olive; a sister and brother-in-law, Cleo J. and Willie J. Britt of Mount Olive; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Joyner and Della K. Joyner, both of Mount Olive, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Uriah and Pennie Odom Joyner; three brothers, Faison Joyner, Clemont Joyner, and James Everette "Ed" Joyner, and one infant sister.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to Brownings United Methodist Church, 6490 Mount Olive Highway, Mount Olive, N.C., 28365.
