MARY S. JONES
MOUNT OLIVE -- The funeral for Mary Grey Summerlin Jones will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Rones Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Jones died Monday in Raeford. She was 79.
Formerly of Mount Olive, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. Summerlin Sr. and Cornelia Kilpatrick Summerlin and was the widow of Geddie Jones.
She is survived by one son, Marshall Jones, and his wife, Beth, of Forest Hill, Md.; one daughter, Rebecca J. Carter, and her husband, Drew, of Raeford; one brother, Dr. Robert L. Summerlin Jr. of Duplin; one sister, Nancy S. Goodson of Greenville; three grandchildren, Yancey Carter, Mallory Jones and Cameron Jones; and extended family.
The family will receive friends Friday from 2 until 6 p.m. at the home of Jimmy and Lorraine Kornegay, 310 Henderson St., Mount Olive, and at the church on Saturday, one hour prior to the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to N.C. Library for the Blind, 1811 Capital Blvd., Raleigh, N.C., 27635.
Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive is serving the family.
