REXFORD T. CAPPS
PINETOPS -- Rexford T. "Rex" Capps, 71, died Friday.
Mr. Capps was employed for 37 years with A&P of Tarboro, and 12 additional years with Piggly Wiggly of Pinetops.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marie Strickland Capps; three sons, Mike Capps and wife, Beckie, of Belview, Neb., Jeff Capps and wife, Mimi, of Pinetops, and Thairs "Buzz" Capps of Pinetops; one brother, Douglas Capps of Pinetops, and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 5 until 7 p.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday at Edgecombe Memorial Park with the Rev. John Melancon officiating.
