WILLIS SPELLS
Willis Spells, 70, formerly of Johnston County, died Saturday, in Philadelphia, Pa.
Mr. Spells was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Atkinson.
He is survived by his father, the Rev. Robert Atkinson of Princeton; two daughters, Verna Whitley and Allison Dixon-Speight of Philadelphia, Pa.; one son, Willis Spells Jr., of Philadelphia, Pa.; five sisters, Lessie Broadus of Greensboro, Peggy Atkinson of Princeton, Mae France Asford of Princeton, Madge Atkinson of East Orange, N.J., and Doris Atkinson of Princeton; two brothers, Matthew Atkinson of Goldsboro, and Robert Atkinson of Princeton, and fourteen grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Stephen Disciple Church Princeton, with Elder Charles Sykes officiating. Burial will be in Spells Cemetery in Clayton.
Family will receive friends at other times at the residence at 413 W Second St., Princeton.
