CLARENCE FOSTER

EUREKA -- Clarence Foster, 90, died Friday, Aug. 13, in Britthaven of Snow Hill.

He was born in Wayne County, was the son of the late Freddie Exum and was reared by his late grandfather, Tom Foster. He was a member of the First Baptist Church Eureka, where he served as an usher and taught Sunday school for 17 years.

He is survived by godson, Cheotise Artis of Stantonsburg; two brothers and Melvin and Elbert Yelverton of Goldsboro.

A viewing will be held Friday from 3 until 9 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Goldsboro and the family will be there to receive friends from 7 until 8.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Eureka. The Rev. Odell Forte will officiate. Burial will follow in the Exum Cemetery in Stantonsburg.
