DORIS SANDERSON
FOUR OAKS -- Doris Smith Sanderson, 83, of 1861 Selah Church Road, died Sunday.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Selah Christian Church. The Rev. Patrick Muston will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park near Goldsboro.
Mrs. Sanderson was a teacher at Grantham High School and later a librarian at Southern Wayne High School. She retired in 1981 after 30 years in education.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph E. "Joe" Sanderson; daughters and sons-in-law, Margie and Darrell Conley of Henrietta and Beth and Scott Peterson of Columbia, S.C.; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Vickey Sanderson of Four Oaks and David and Jackie Sanderson of Four Oaks; sisters, Bernedyne Jones of Princeton and Judy Parrish of Raleigh; and 10 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
