ALICE F. WHITFIELD
Funeral services for Evangelist Alice Faye Whitfield, 62, of 103 North Pointe Drive, will be held Friday at 1 p.m. from the Goshen Disciple Church of Christ with Dr. David Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Carver Memorial Park.
Evangelist Whitfield died Saturday at Sunbridge Nursing Center.
She is the daughter of the late Shepherd and Armittie F. Broadhurst. She was a member of Goshen Disciple Church of Christ, where she served on the Home mission and Evangelist team.
She is survived by three sons, George A. (Patricia) Whitfield of Mount Olive, Shepard (Melody) Whitfield of the home and Joseph (Edna) Whitfield of Pikeville; two daughters, Annette Whitfield of Dudley and Patricia Whitfield of Mount Olive; three sisters, Maggie Faison and Linda Almond of Dudley and Katie Broadhurst of Mount Olive; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held today from 3 until 7 p.m. at the Garris Funeral Home Chapel and the family will be present from 6 until 7 p.m. to receive friends.
