JAMES A. SMITH
James Austin Smith, 3-year-old son of Alan and Stephanie Smith of Goldsboro, died Tuesday morning at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at Hill Family Cemetery in Snow Hill. The Rev. Larry Turlington and the Rev. Bill Showman will officiate.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, James W. Smith and Gloria Sauls, both of Goldsboro; maternal grandparents, Lester and Janice Whittaker and Nick and Teresa Rose of Dudley; and a great-grandmother, "G.G." Julia Abel.
The family will receive friends today from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro and other times at the residence, 4409 U.S. 13 North, Goldsboro.
