WILLIE J. BRANCH
Willie Joyce Branch, 69, formerly of Second Street, died Thursday at Guardian Care Nursing home in Kenansville.
The funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Branch was born in Duplin County on Aug. 23, 1934, to the late Leon and Pearl McGowan Solice. She was a member of Piney Green Free Will Baptist Church and was employed with Home Health & Hospice (3HC) as a nursing assistant.
She is survived by a daughter, Melodie M. Martin, and her father, Payton Martin, of Greenville; two sisters, Kate L. Carter of Kenansville and Elmer Louise Henry of Beulaville; and four grandchildren, Payton A. Lopez, Jay Bizzell, Tatiana Martin and Christian Shearouse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer J. Branch; a son, Jasper A. Bizzell; and a brother, James M. Henry.
The viewing will be held today from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory.
