Lewis Jackson "Jack" Peoples, Jr., 58, of Atlantic Beach, died on Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at Carteret General Hospital.

A longtime resident of Wilmington, N.C., Jack was the son of Lewis Jackson (Jack) Peoples, Sr. of Goldsboro and the late Marian Harrison Peoples. He was married for more than 32 years to Pamela Johnson Peoples, formerly of Goldsboro. Jack had retired as a regional sales manager with Georgia-Pacific.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2004, at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Goldsboro, N.C., with Rev. Eugene Carpenter presiding.

Graveside services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Oxford, N.C.

In addition to his father, he is survived by two daughters, Heather Peoples of Asheville and Hilary Peoples of Wilmington; a sister, Peggy Peoples of Newport News, Va.; and a brother, Bob Peoples of Chapel Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 200 N. James Street, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530; or to the charity of one's choice.

Arrangements are in the care of Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Goldsboro, N.C.
