NORE H. LASSITER

PRINCETON -- Nore Heber "Paul" Lassiter, 76, of 512 Lassiter Road died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Lenoir County, he was the son of the late Nathan Lassiter and Effie Pearce Lassiter. Mr. Lassiter was a farmer in Wayne County and was a member of Antioch Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will be Monday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Al Herrington and the Rev. Lewis Baker officiating. Interment will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Lassiter Cemetery.

Mr. Lassiter is survived by his beloved and caring wife, Elsie Rose Lassiter; his sons, Larry Lassiter and wife, Gloria, of Rosewood, Jackie Lassiter of Princeton, and Edward Wells and wife, Kathrine, of Princeton; his sisters, Edna Starling and Marjorie Pipkin, both of Princeton; his brothers, Tommy Lassiter, Dave Lassiter, Randolph Lassiter and John Lassiter, all of Princeton; five grandchildren, Tina Brewer, Nathan Lassiter, Crystal Lassiter, Jarrett Lassiter and Justin Lassiter; three great-grandchildren, Morgan Brewer, Megan Brewer and Hunter Lee Lassiter; and two step-grandchildren, Marty Davenport and Mandy Davenport.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Nathan Lassiter Jr.; his daughter, Sheila Lassiter Walker; his son, Gary Lassiter; and other brothers, Gardner Lassiter and Thurman Lassiter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

The family will receive friends Monday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
