JOHN MURRIELL
The funeral for John W. Murriell, 83, will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Wade. The Rev. Robert Stephens will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive.
Mr. Murriell died Tuesday at the Rehabilitation Center at Village Green in Fayetteville.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Aekins Murriell of the home; two sons, Gary Murriell of New York and Henry Aekins of Mount Vernon, N.Y.; eight daughters, Eunice Murphy and Patsy Graham of Mt. Vernon, N.Y., Regina Aekins of Stanford, Conn., Betty Strater of Maryland and Mary McNeill, Helene Walters, Denise Aekins and Naomi Calloway of Wade; and two sisters, Violet Robinson and Annie Marie Artis of Mount Olive; and 26 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8 at Tucker & Son Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
