JOSEPH N. MORRISEY

Joseph Nelson Morrisey, 61, of 709 S. Pine Street, Warsaw, died on Tuesday at his residence.

He was born in Sampson County to the late Rebecca Chestnut. He was educated in the public schools of Sampson and Duplin counties. He was a self-employed mechanic.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at the Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel in Warsaw with Mr. Morrisey's brother, the Rev. W.R. Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilson Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Morrisey is survived by four brothers, the Rev. Willie Powell of Warsaw, Jesse Powell of Clinton, the Rev. William Powell of Charlotte and Johnnie Powell of Faison; sisters, Mattie Dora Williams of Warsaw and Annie Powell Davis of Kenansville.

A viewing will be held today from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel in Warsaw.

The family will assemble at 602 Pierce St. at 12:30 p.m. in preparation for the funeral.
