LILLIE BOWDEN
MOUNT OLIVE -- The funeral for Lillie Mae Ward Bowden, 92, of 700 S. Center St., will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Winn Chapel Baptist Church. The Rev. Burnice Hodges will officiate. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bowden died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.
She was the daughter of the late Wellie and Amy Winn Ward and was the retired proprietor of Lillie's Florist.
Survivors include her husband of 73 years, Harry Bowden of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Ulysses and Evelyne Bowden of Mount Olive; two granddaughters, Amber Bowden of Mount Olive and Yvonne B. Parker of Virginia, stationed in Saudia Arabia; one great-grandson, Victor Parker of Virginia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The viewing hours will be from 3 until 7 today at Garris Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ulysses Bowden, 705 S. Breazeale Avenue.
