FRANCES H. MILLER
GARNER -- Frances Ruth Haswell Miller, 76, of 705 Butler Dr., passed away Friday, after a long battle with cancer.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who deeply influenced the lives of family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Frances was a life long member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #321 and a member of First Baptist Church of Garner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Grattis Haswell and Melina Allen Haswell; and three brothers, Grady, L.C. and Alphus Haswell.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Ray Miller; daughter, Phyllis M. Tilley and husband Joseph; son, Randy Dale Miller and wife Betsy; three grandchildren, David Ray Smith-Tilley, August Leigh Tilley, Ryan (Shotgun) Christopher Miller; sister, Alice Haswell; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at The First Baptist Church of Garner with the Rev. Travis Tobin officiating followed by a graveside service at Greenmont Cemetery in Wendell.
The family will receive friends and relatives today from 6 until 8 p.m. at Bryan Lee Funeral Home, Garner, and othe times at the home.
