LINDA W. SAULS

Mrs. Linda Walker Sauls, 52, of 451 Tommy's Road, died Thursday at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by loved ones. She was born December 21, 1951, in Wayne County to G. Ray Walker Sr. and Geneva Barwick Walker of Mount Olive.

Linda was a lady of incredible faith in God, hope for the world, and love for others. For those who knew her, Linda will be remembered as a generous, caring, compassionate lady and loyal friend to so many. The love of Linda's life was God, family and friends. Even during her illness, she never gave up or let go of her firm belief in the power of prayer. Linda's determination to let it be God's will was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be missed by many. Linda worked with Chevrolet-Cadillac of Goldsboro and her job afforded her the opportunity to meet and touch many lives.

Along with her husband James, Linda had a tireless commitment to help people come to know the Lord. She had served as secretary for her husband's and son's music ministry, Prayz Ministries and had also served as secretary for Heaven's Echoes. She had traveled with these groups and had helped in many ways as they would minister across the east coast. She was a faithful member of Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Linda had served as past president and treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary and as church clerk.

A service to celebrate the life of Linda will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Dr. Don Sauls officiating. Burial will follow in the Pikeville Cemetery.

More than anything else, Linda has been devoted to her husband of 28 years, James C. Sauls and their two sons, Jay Sauls of Goldsboro and Daniel Brett Sauls of the home. She always cherished her close relationship with her husband, sons, parents, sister and brother. In addition to her parents, she is also survived by her sister, Janet Cherry and husband, Leonard of Mount Olive; her brother, Ray Walker, Jr. of Mount Olive; her mother-in-law, Doris S. Sauls of Pikeville; her brothers-in-law, David Sauls and wife, Vicky of Goldsboro and the Rev. John Sauls, Jr. and wife, Mardie of Sanford; eleven nieces and nephews.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in her memory to the Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 910, Pikeville, 27863 or the American Cancer Society., 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, 27834.

The family will gather to receive friends Friday from 6 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her residence.

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. II Timothy 4:6-7
