PENNIE B. BAKER
NEWTON GROVE -- Pennie Best Baker, 84, of 4535 William R. King Rd., died Friday.
Graveside services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery, Newton Grove. The Rev. Joe Wingfield will officiate.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jean B. and Carol Jackson of Smithfield and Faye B. Carr of Clinton and friend Jerry Carr of Dunn; son and daughter-in-law, James L. and Jennette Baker of Newton Grove; two sisters, Gennie B. Britt of Mount Olive and Dora Mae Britt of Mount Olive; half-sister, Margaret Miller of Virginia; half-brother, Chester Best of Mount Olive; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Albert Baker; and a grandson, Phillip D. Jackson.
The family will received friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m.
Mrs. Baker was a long time member of Pleasant Union Christian Church.
