MARIE ATKINSON
Marie Best Atkinson, 77, of 628 Isler St., died last Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held this Sat-urday at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, in Goldsboro. The Rev. David Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Atkinson was the daughter of the late John and Mamie Best. She was a member of St. Luke Church of Christ and was retired from Cherry Hospital.
Her survivors include two sisters, Vertrube Taylor of Washington, D.C. and Blonnie Walton of Clinton, Md.; a brother, Milton Best of New York; two sisters-in-law, Arabella Best of Landover, Md., and Adlene Best of New York; and a brother-in-law, Douglas Walton of Clinton, Md.
The viewing will be Friday from 3 until 9 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
