J.V. HALES
KENLY -- J.V. "Tom" Hales, 65, of 4087 Glendale Road, died Wednesday at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Boyette Hales; three daughters, Roberta Rensing of Virginia Beach, Mary Jones of Kenly and Tracy Raper of Selma; five sons, Larry Hales of Durham, John Boyd Hales and Joel Hales of Kenly. Lennie Hales of Montanna and Keith Hales of Texas; four sisters, Doris Perry of Middlesex, Yvonne O'Brian of Wake Forest, Rudean Suggs and Annie Adams of Durham; a brother, A.G. Hales of Durham; and 14 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at Coley Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 3 at Old Beulah Church Cemetery. Dr. Rick McDuffie will conduct the service.
