MARY DAUGHETY

Mary Potts Daughety, 78, died Wednesday at her home.

Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Newman and Betty Ward Potts and the wife of the late Wayne Daughety. She was also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. A retired employee of G.E. Lighting in Goldsboro, she was a faithful member of Providence United Methodist Church, the Wesley Sunday School Class and Providence Friends United.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Providence United Methodist Church with the Rev. Arthur Warren and the Reverend Dr. Jerry Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Mark Pasley of Goldsboro, with whom she resided; her son and daughter-in-law, W D and Peg Daughety of New Jersey; six grandchildren, Renee and Rodney Casey of Rosewood, Kristina and Jamie Balance of Pikeville, Lisa Daughety of New Jersey, Adam Pasley of Georgia, Beth and Amy Dowd of New Jersey; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and at other times will be at the home, 1122 Old Grantham Road in the Mar Mac Community.
