Charles Pal Williams, 72, of 102 Serenity Circle, died Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Mr. Williams was born May 4, 1932 in Richmond County to the late William Randolph Williams and Margaret Lee "Lolly" Williams. He attended the First Pentecostal Holiness Church and was an avid surf fisherman. Mr. Williams served in the United States Air Force for 20 years and later worked with Ryder Truck Rental as their Service Manager for over 20 years.

A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at 7 p.m. at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Jimmy Whitfield and Dr. Billy Seate officiating.

Mr. Williams is survived by his sons, Chuck Williams and wife, Vickie, of Jonesboro, Ga., Ronald Williams and wife, Theresa, of Goldsboro and Roger Williams of Goldsboro; six grandchildren, Joshua Williams, Allen Williams, Adam Williams, David Williams, Caroline Williams and Ashley Williams; two sisters, Helen and Peggy Farrell of Asheville; and a brother, Bill "Buck" Williams of Rockingham. He also leaves his "adopted family" Beverly, Amber, Clifton and Jeana Griffin; and many other beloved family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Pentecostal Holiness Church Building Fund, 1100 The First Church Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534. The family will greet friends following the service at the church and other times at his home, 102 Serenity Circle, Goldsboro.

Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
