BETTIE BODY
LAGRANGE -- Bettie Body, 84, of 1103 LaGrange Road, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Thompson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Nathan Darden officiating. Burial will be in Old Mill Cemetery.
Mrs. Body was the daughter of the late Elijah and Carrie Phillips Baker.
She is survived by her husband, Malachi Body of the home; one daughter, Mary Rose Ward; two sisters, Lissie Best of Goldsboro and Martha Uzzell of Washington, D.C.; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The viewing will be today from 4 until 7 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home in Goldsboro.
