ALTON E. DAIL
MOUNT OLIVE -- Alton Earl Dail, 92, of 1254 Tram Road, died Thursday at the N.C. Veterans home in Fayetteville.
He was born in Duplin County to the late Faison and Della Kornegay Dail. He was preceded in death by sisters, Gracy Ethel Dail Sullivan, Della Elizabeth Dail, Mary Frances Dail and brothers, John Donald Dail, Clyde Carroll Dail, Marvin Faison, Albert Daniel Dail and Henry Oliver Dail.
He worked for the state of North Carolina in Education and Rehabilitation and attended Long Ridge Church.
Funeral services will be held tonight at 7 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank Harrison will be officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 at the Dail Family Cemetery on Tram Road.
He is survived by three brothers, William Russell Dail of Clayton, Elmer Budd Dail of Mount Olive and Morris Everett Dail of Goldsboro.
The family will be receiving friends immediately following the funeral service at the funeral home and at other times at the Ethel Sullivan residence, 272 John Lewis Grady Road, Mount Olive, NC 28365.
