THOMAS O. SMITH

WARSAW -- The funeral for Thomas Oneil Smith, 76, will be held Friday at noon from the Big Zion A.M.E. Zion Church with the Rev. William Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery of Kenansville. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.

He died Tuesday at Duplin General Hospital.

He was the son of the late Hint and Marzella Miller Smith and was a retired barber.

He is survived by a daughter, Perphia Mciver of Washington D.C.; a sister, Maxine Brooks of Mount Olive; a special niece, Charlene Faison of Dudley; and two aunts, Nettie Miller of Kenansville and Annie Pendergrass of Baltimore, Md.

A viewing will be held today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends at the home of Maxine Brooks, 174 Willie Best Road, Mount Olive.
