BARBARA HILL
Barbara Godwin Hill, 67, of 411 S. Cottonwood Drive, died Monday at her home.
A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Armied and Thelma Blackburn Godwin. She was a retired Registered Nurse and was the Director of Nursing at the Wayne County Health Department. She was a member of First Christian Church where she was an elder and was actively involved in all aspects of the church.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church with Dr. Fred Clarke and Dr. Penny Ziemer officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
She is survived her husband, Herbert Hill Jr.; a son, the Rev. Tom Hill, and his wife, Nan, of Wake Forest; a brother, Mike Godwin of Wilmington; and three grandchildren, Lauren Hill, Brent Hill and Greyson Hill.
The family will receive friends today from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
